Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced US Accounting/Finance Manager (Staffing) to join our Fixity team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QuickBooks, ADP, US accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, payroll processing, invoicing, expense review, and financial reporting. The role requires excellent organizational skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, ensuring proper coding and categorization of transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and analyse monthly balance sheets, profit and loss (P&L) statements, and other financial reports in QuickBooks.
• Collect, review, and process timesheets from team members, ensuring accurate recording of hours worked.
• Generate and send invoices using QuickBooks, verifying accuracy and completeness of billing information.
• Oversee invoice processing, ensuring timely and accurate entry of vendor bills and expenses.
• Review and verify employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper documentation.
• Maintain payroll records, including hours worked and approved time off, and collaborate with ADP for accurate payroll processing.
• Get in touch with ADP for all tax notices and queries (US Accounts)
• Maintaining employee balance sheets, Amendment (Payroll, W2)
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics and insights.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data for reporting purposes.
• Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Stay up to date with changes in US accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Provide support during audits and assist in responding to audit inquiries.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve and streamline accounting processes.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in US accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop versions is essential.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with Advanced Excel functions and financial modelling.
• Familiarity with ADP for payroll processing and related tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with remote teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven track record of leadership and mentorship.
