Mechanical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in FE Simulations of railways components.
Should have sound knowledge in structural strength, fatigue, and vibration analysis with minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Ansys with Workbench (Ansys Classic experience is added advantage).
Desirable: Experience in Railways Brakes product line, including new product development, field issues, optimization, and material selection.
Should be able to independently perform structural analysis of metals, sheet metals, plastics and rubber components using suitable material models.
Must have experience in the following CAE analysis domains: Static Structural, Structural fatigue, Dynamics - Modal, Random, Harmonic, Transient, Buckling, stress analysis and design optimization of industrial parts.
Must have solid experience in ANSYS workbench, error debugging. Expert level in convergence resolution, contacts, joints, mesh definitions and results plausibility checks.
Desirable: experience in VDI 2230, EN Railways standards, FKM and DVS weld standards.
Should be able to translate actual physical problem to FEA model, independently able to apply and propose FEA solutions, able to propose design solutions based on FEA results, interact with cross functional teams, interpret analysis results & select best solution.
Knowledge on Transient analysis is an added advantage.
Should has mindset to support optimization and development of existing and new products.
Good to have knowledge on castings, sheet metal parts manufacturing, machined parts manufacturing etc.
Knowledge on Railway products working will be added advantage. Knowledge in other industrial domains desired.
