Mechanical Design Engineer/ Solution Designer - R&D -Blade Bearing/main bearing

Qualifications:

Graduate/ Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience :

Min 05 - max12 years of relevant experience in mechanical components for wind industry.

Min 3 years of experience in Wind turbine main and blade bearings, bearings sealing and bearings lubrication.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Main bearings failures root cause investigation and failure modes analysis .

- Work with 8D methodology.

- Review of drive trains including bearings design, casted and forged main shafts and casted bearings houses, bearings lubrication and bearings sealing systems in new designs/for RCA evaluation/ under new wind farms loads.

- Main shaft arrangement and blade bearings compatibility matrixes creation

- Knowledge on main bearings arrangements repair solutions

- Creation of failure mode reports

- Creation of FMEA and risk assessments

- Identify validation and verification requirements

- Review of 3D/2D CAD using Catia and NX . Experience in Windchill and Team center.

- Skilled in review FEM analysis done in Abaqus and Ansys

- Knowledge of the bearings calculation systems KISSsoft

- Experience of Wind turbine

- Operate with an Innovative mindset and customer focus to deliver value

- Well versed in Product Design & development best practices

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to successfully drive technical solutions working with cross functional teams and stakeholders

- Strong problem-solving attitude, facilitation and coaching skills

- Excellent personal organization, ability to prioritize and carry out multiple task
