Team Lead - IT and Compliance

Job description

This role is responsible for implementing and enforcing  IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment. The ideal candidate will bring a host of experiences and a great attitude to the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Microsoft-centric infrastructure, including laptops, Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and associated services.Â
• Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment.Â
• Define and execute corporate IT improvement projects.Â
• Work closely with the engineering and operations teams on lab and non-production environment maintenance.Â
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance optimizations to enhance system reliability and efficiency.Â
• Conduct regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and security audits to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity and availability.Â
• Maintain and execute procedures, and controls in accordance with ISO 27001 standards.Â
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.Â
• Manage security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance.Â
• Stay abreast of emerging Microsoft technology, information security, and industry trends to recommend and implement continuous improvements to our IT infrastructure and services.Â

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.Â
• Previous experience in an IT leadership or management role, Â
• Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.Â
• Experience with Microsoft deployment tools such as SCCM and Intune is preferred.Â
• Prior experience in an ISO 27001 compliant organization, in an execution or strategy role.Â
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.Â
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Â
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and address IT challenges and opportunities. Â
