Position Responsibilities
We are seeking a bright, collaborative, and driven individual to join our growing Product Management team for our Project Portfolio Management (PPM) software solution.
Do you have a passion for solving problems while improving overall customer satisfaction? This team is looking for an experienced product manager who is interested in understanding client requirements, working closely with engineering team to translate those requirements into product features and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a successful launch of product features.
Ideal candidates have software product management experience and a huge thirst for personal and professional growth, including expanding knowledge of project management and execution to best support our customers. Not for the faint hearted, this will be a fast paced and at times, intense role, involving working with internal and external product experts where you’ll be expected to use your product management expertise to navigate teams to ensure successful product development and release readiness/management. What You’ll Do - Create and own product requirements; establishing a business case for overall need and prioritization
- Perform detailed requirement specifications for new enhancements for the PPM product suite, specifically Cobra.
- Work with key stakeholders across the organization to define and prioritize requirements for new features and enhancements
- Collaborate with UX and Engineering teams to transform requirements into compelling product enhancements
- Attend daily scrums to support development
- Prioritize bug backlog with key engineering leads
- Actively participate in product launch to gauge user adoption
- Assist our customer care with product questions and escalations
- Assist in reviewing and managing customer ideas
- Create release readiness content
Qualifications
Who You Are
- Strong product owner experience working with Agile processes
- Strong project management skills with an understanding of PMP best practices including critical path scheduling
- Earned Value Management knowledge a plus
- Technical Background: Strong technical acumen in software engineering. Understanding of software development / agile processes and cloud technologies is crucial.
- Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize technical debt effectively, considering business impact and engineering efforts required for resolution.
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with engineering teams, cloud operations, and other stakeholders. The capability to translate technical details into actionable plans for different teams.
- Adaptability and Learning Agility: The tech landscape evolves rapidly, so being adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies is crucial.
- Experience operating under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent judgment
- Proven success of building strong working relationships with cross functional teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ product management or related experience ideally using, implementing, or designing Enterprise software
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders’ one on one, and in groups of varying size
- Strong problem-solving skills to research options and make decision on best path forward
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate curiosity, humility, and empathy in all you do.
- A creative self-starter with a bias for action.
