The organization is driven by a bias for action to catalyse social change through collaboration across the board - startup founders, donors, NGO’s, expert advisors, government stakeholders as well as the public at large. Our grants are given as seed capital to incubate and accelerate innovations that have demonstrated ability to address some of India’s most complex social needs.

In addition to providing funding, we work with our grantees on their strategy as well as operations and help them harness the strength of our collective - through best-in-class industry mentorship that can enable them to build sustainable organisations

The Ideal Candidate You’re perfect for this job if you have:

● 6-10 years of work experience in consulting/ investing/ strategy in a challenging, high growth and/ or entrepreneurial environment; experience of working in healthcare sector in the past is a bonus

● Excellent problem-solving, project management, organisational skills and operational capabilities

● Proven ability to raise funds and manage donor relationships

● Ability to foster community and develop a movement around shared or common goals

● Strong communication skills (including writing and presentation skills)

● Ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders internally and externall

● Ability to work independently and proactively in a small organisation setting, where collaboration,teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued

● Prior experience in venture capital/ entrepreneurship/ sustainability / accelerators is a plus

Functional details:

Position Summary

We are looking for an exceptional vertical Lead to join our small but highly effective team. They will work closely with the for Health team and support all aspects of managing a philanthropic fund - across strategy, execution and portfolio priorities - and implement core activities including sourcing, fundraising & donor management. 

Key Responsibilities:

● Overall Fund Strategy: Help anchor and expand the fund’s investment thesis for the ever evolving landscape of healthcare technologies - both digital and medtech solutions on an on-going basis. Over time, help refine and sharpen the fund's investment

hypothesis and key strategic areas of focus within NCDs, Mental Health, Tuberculosis, and Primary Healthcare.

● Fundraising & Donor management: Support fundraising efforts and donor management including regular communication, reporting and engagement.

● Fund Management: Support the Director on smooth operation of the fund including planning, budgets, risk management, monitoring and evaluation, grantee onboarding, fund reporting, and fund calendar. Build and manage a portfolio of investments through sourcing, conducting due diligence and assessing performance through regular assessment. Managing regular cadences associated with IC meetings. Supporting fund communications.

● Programmatic Interventions: Design and supporting execution of special programs and initiatives, including sector specific challenges, as well as special initiatives with other verticals.

● Support the ACT for Health portfolio: A key area of focus will be to support grantee organisations on a range of strategic and operational areas. This could include advisory, mentorship and connections across topics commercial validation, go-to-market strategy, identifying distribution channels, outcomes, measurement, fundraising plan and more.

● Team management: Co-lead a 2-3 member team which includes full time staff, as well as Fellows; leverage onboarding volunteers and experts strategically to meet the goals of the fund.
