We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic Payroll team in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Support in processing the semi-monthly and annual payrolls to ensure employees are paid accurately and on a timely manner. Assist employees and business partners with payroll questions. Support on providing data for Audits. Identify and resolve payment issues.
Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll for 300 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll calculations, deductions, and withholdings.
Validate and reconcile timekeeping records, addressing any discrepancies or anomalies.
Calculate and process salary adjustments, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation components.
Collaborate closely with HR to ensure employee data is accurate and up to date.
Ensure compliance with Brazilian labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
Stay informed about changes in labor and tax regulations to ensure compliance in payroll practices (Labor Law, Social Security, Dissidio, 13th. Salary, Taxes).
Prepare and submit required payroll reports to local authorities, maintaining meticulous records.
Handle payroll inquiries from employees and provide excellent customer service.
Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll processes.
Work with vendor to resolve issues and work on enhancements as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, or similar role processing regular payroll, Ferias, Terminations, Dissidio, 13th. Salary.
In-depth knowledge of Brazilian labor laws, Social Security, tax regulations, and payroll compliance.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel for accurate calculations and reporting.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team member.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Portuguese.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Self-driven and resourceful.
