Job description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Follow activity checklist for Income Tax thoroughly
- Review checklist of statutory compliance under Direct Tax & ensure that compliance of the same are submitted on time
- To keep update of various case laws, statutory changes
- To review & assist in timely finalization of income tax payments & returns
- To ensure no delay in submission of above returns
- To assist and guide in obtaining approval & registration under various tax regulatory
- To assist and guide preparation of timely and proper details of Income Tax Audit
- To ensure minimum statutory audits queries & irregularities pointed by internal audit
- Assisting & guiding in calculation of tax payable such as TDS, Advance Tax, Profession Tax, Income Tax and other similar Taxes
- Assisting & reviewing in preparation of various details for assessment under income tax laws and attend hearing
- Coordinate with clients to collect information related to income tax and also reply to their queries
- Use all appropriate adjustments, deduction and credits to keep clients' taxes to minimum
- Prepare or assist in preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small business
- Before finalization of return entire data should be confirmed with the client on mail
- Before filing of return send a computation of total income to client & take approval for the same & maintain the records on email and client files
- Furnish taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion
- Verify accuracy of records
- To update MIS/ERP on daily basis
- Email daily work sheet to reporting manager
- Update professional knowledge on regular basis
- Maintain inward/outward for all documents exchange with clients on daily basis
- To assist Managers
- Allocate work to Junior Income Tax executive
- Review Junior Income Tax executive on daily/weekly basis
- To handle team & responsible for teams' performance
- Handover scrutiny/notice work to departmental assistant
- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers or Subordinates
- Adherence to all company related policies
- Any other task assigned by the management
Requirements - Knowledge of filing Income Tax returns
- Capacity of handling 2-3 team members at a time
- B com with 3 years articleship in CA firm will be preferred
- Experience of minimum 2 to 3 years in Income Tax
