Job Title: Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) Location: Gurgaon Position Overview:
Airtel Digital Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) to join our team. The vCISO will work remotely and be responsible for providing strategic cybersecurity guidance and leadership to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, regulations, and emerging threats, along with a proven track record of implementing effective security measures. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients on all cybersecurity matters. Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps. Develop and implement customized cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps tailored to each client's unique needs and risk profile. Provide guidance and oversight on security architecture design, implementation, and optimization. Lead incident response and crisis management efforts in the event of a cybersecurity breach or incident. Stay up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices, and educate clients accordingly. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality cybersecurity services and solutions. Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc. Act as a thought leader and advocate for cybersecurity awareness and culture within clients' organizations. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent strongly preferred. Proven experience (10-12 years) in a senior cybersecurity leadership role, preferably as a CISO or vCISO. Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA). Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a virtual environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically. Experience working with clients in diverse industries, preferably in a consulting or advisory capacity. Additional Information: This is a position based in Gurgaon, with occasional travel to client sites as needed. Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate client needs and time zones.
