KFD, a leading furniture manufacturing company, is seeking a talented and creative Furniture Designer to join our team. As a Furniture Designer at KFD, you will be responsible for designing and creating innovative and visually appealing furniture pieces that meet the needs and preferences of our clients. Responsibilities
- Design and develop new furniture concepts and prototypes
- Conduct market research to identify design trends and customer preferences
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and design furniture accordingly
- Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each furniture piece
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure the feasibility of design concepts and the successful execution of manufacturing processes
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in furniture design and technology to continuously improve design practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
- Proven experience working as a Furniture Designer or in a similar role
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in furniture design, including sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and hardware used in furniture manufacturing
- Excellent creativity and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
