Position Responsibilities
Deltek Costpoint is the leading ERP software for government contractors of all sizes. As an all-in-one solution, Costpoint connects company’s project data and processes while bringing innovation and time-saving automation across the entire project lifecycle—from accounting to shop floor. With built-in functionality and a compliant framework, the Costpoint ERP solution helps companies meet complex government regulations—including cybersecurity compliance requirements through integrated cloud offerings—while earning a reputation for delivering successful projects on time and on budget.
As a Costpoint Product Manager you will play a key role in defining and managing the functional roadmap for Costpoint. You will evaluate and manage new product enhancements using Deltek’s ideas portal (Aha!). As a Costpoint Product Manager you will have the opportunity to participate in customer focus group meetings where you will listen to and work with Costpoint customers to understand their requirements and enhancement requests. You will work closely with a team of Costpoint Product Managers and will be asked to support various areas of the Costpoint product, including: Accounting, Projects, Contracts, Admin and others.

What You'll Do:
- Review, evaluate and score/prioritize enhancement requests submitted via the Deltek Ideas portal (Aha!).
- Identify and fill product gaps with solutions that grow market share, elevate the customer experience, and improve the perceived value of Costpoint.
- Build and maintain the business case for key Costpoint product features, including market opportunities, user personas, and top use cases.
- Gather and document detailed business requirements and user stories that will guide product development.
- Collaborate with design, development and testing teams to drive features forward and ensure features are on time and on budget without sacrificing quality.
- Collaborate with team members to develop materials to support release readiness activities.
- Assist with the creation of product documentation and release details for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years’ experience as an ERP Product Manager or similar software product
- Experience developing user stories and communicating stories to the team.
- Proven ability to understand and apply insights to complex products and use cases.
- Proven track record of gathering and documenting requirements.
- Task oriented with attention to detail.
