Job description
Shift hours:
Early morning/afternoon/late evening shift hours on rotational basis d epending on daylight saving. (5.00 AM to 3.00 PM / 1.00 PM to 10.00 PM / 6.00 PM to 3.00 AM IST)
This role expects rotational on-call support work on weekends and Mumbai Holidays.
Overview:
This role is a great mix of technology and teamwork with exposure to development and business teams designed to provide technical support, analysis, and solutions for production operations.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring management of alerts, events via relevant monitoring ticketing tools.
Review/support tools for environment monitoring and analysis including system health and performance.
Provide Level 2 Level 3 technical support for applications and platform issues.
Provide technical support for applications on Windows and Linux based systems. (Linux working experience is mandatory)
Identify key areas for automation and optimization to enhance productivity.
Identify opportunities for optimizing performance and provide suggestions for development.
Coordinate maintenance activities and outages with infrastructure, Application management and Service Center teams.
Identify root causes of technical issues in production.
Keep track of change and problem tickets.
Flexible to work in rotational shifts, including weekends on-call responsibilities.
Co-ordinate with stakeholders during routine maintenance and outages.
Support and execute Disaster Recovery testing.
Qualifications:
3+ years of overall experience working in IT infrastructure Operations environment.
3+ years of relevant experience in Infrastructure/Applications monitoring and technical support.
Should be familiar with Change management, Incident management, release management and problem management.
Good working knowledge of Linux Windows Administration.
Experience with MS-SQL, Oracle, MongoDB preferred. SSIS DB proficiency preferred.
Good problem-solving/troubleshooting skills, quick learner.
A good understanding of support environments and Service Level Agreements
Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios, LogicMonitor, AppDynamics, etc.. preferred
Experience handling major incidents and escalations.
Strong written, oral communication interpersonal skills.
Experience with SCCM and Windows patch management desired.
Experience with Development preferred (JAVA/SQL/Ansible/Shell, Batch scripting)
Strong team player, with excellent eye for detail.
Should have a high degree of self-motivation, strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of latest Datacenter technologies.
Understanding of Java and XML.
Apache/Tomcat/Web Services experience preferred.
ITIL Foundation certified (preferred)
