Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Work-out of SBC as per standard norms and timely submission.
2. Study & Analysis of SOR/ Drawings for components.
3. Cost Estimation of parts from SOR/drawing.
4. Drive Materials Cost Competitiveness for New Project-Parts
5. Process improvements through release of Procedures & Guidelines 
6. Product / Process Cost Demystification
7. To iron out difference between SBC and Quote 
8. On time release of SBC to SSU for meeting target timeline for VOB

Bachelor of Engineering; Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering in Automobile; Bachelor of Engineering in Production

General Experience

6 - 10 yrs experience

Critical Experience

Commodity Knowledge (Majorly if Handled commodities like Steering,Suspension,Brakes)
Process Knowledge (Casting,Forging processes used in Proprietory parts)
Apptitude for Technology (Upcoming technology knowledge in Steering,Brakes)
Excellent Analytical Skills, high-level problem solving & out-of-box thinker
Networking Skills & Collaborating  
Conflict Handling -Ability to  settle cost difference as per the quote
Cost Estimation
Cost Planning
Cost Monitoring
Understanding of Tools like CAD, Teamcenter  
Knowledge of selection of ideal manufacturing processes based on drawing/Tolerances. 
Knowledge of Cost Reduction & Cost Improvements.
Knowledge of Most techniques,Component Cost Benchmarking, VAVE, Target Costing / Business perspective.
