Role Overview
The incumbent will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our HR department by assisting with recruitment processes and contributing to various HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and have a passion for talent acquisition and human resources. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional who is looking to develop their HR skills and grow within a fast-paced tech company.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment
- Assist with the hiring process. Initial phone screens, coordinating interview schedules between candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders. This involves arranging interview times, scheduling virtual or in-person meetings, and ensuring all parties are informed of the details.
- Act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process. This includes answering inquiries, providing updates on application statuses, and guiding candidates through the hiring process.
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Support the onboarding process by keeping in touch with prospective employees, scheduling orientation sessions, and assisting with the setting up of new employees.
- Ensure smooth offboarding processes, including the collection of company assets
HR Administration
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and collating data when required
- Support the performance review process by tracking and maintaining performance appraisal records
- Coordinate employee recognition initiatives and assist in planning employee engagement activities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
Employee Relations
- Provide support to employees regarding HR-related queries, policies, and procedures
- Be mindful of employee relations issues and conflicts, escalating complex matters to senior HR personnel as necessary
- Contribute to fostering a positive work environment and a culture of collaboration and inclusivity
Key Skills
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HRIS toolsÂ
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Familiarity with using Google Suite (sheets, docs, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with working with US teams (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant experience of 1-2 years is preferred
