About the Role:

Job Profile:
Purpose of Role:
The candidate will be part of the Internal Audit of Asia – Credit Examination (AIAO-CRE), which is the regional credit examination team in the Asia-Pacific region. The candidate will report to the Regional Head of Credit Examination, AIAO-CRE.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates or leads onsite based examination of credit exposures and end-to-end credit risk management of The Company business units, branches, and subsidiaries in Asia & Oceania (ex Japan).
- Undertakes reviews of individual obligors' credit and transactional risks as well as in-life credit monitoring process, to provide 3rd line assurance on the risk management and quality of the credit portfolios of the examined units.
- Provides independent assessment on the credit risk management framework of subsidiaries' Credit Examination.
- Executes offsite based credit examinations which involve reviewing the appropriateness of borrower rating and rating processes.
- Performs continuous monitoring and risk assessment of the countries in the APAC region, major credit customers, etc. and Head Office divisions located in Singapore and offices in Asia.
- Responsible for any other assignments requested by the supervisor.
- Collaborates with other audit teams and provides beneficial and constructive suggestions that will contribute to the overall performance of AIAO and Credit Examination.
- Business travelling of up to 20% in a year is expected for the role, typically up to two weeks per single travel.
Candidate Profile / Skillset:
- Degree in Accountancy /Banking / Finance with prior experience within the banking and financial sector
- 10 or more years of corporate banking experience.
- Detailed understanding of Banking products and their risks.
- Strong credit risk knowledge and credit analysis background, with 7 years in corporate credit analysis (including multinational corporates), institutional finance, and / or structured / asset finance.
- Communication skills – good oral and written skills with the ability to influence.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
