Job description
Work Location: Chandigarh/Panchkula for first One Year after that Pune/Hyderabad
Required Skills: Oracle DBA MySQL DBA PostgreSQL DBA SQL PLSQL
Mandatory Expectations:
Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills as well as handson expertise with Oracle and MySQL database administration Experience with PostgreSQL Database Administration
Expertise in Oracle RAC ASM DataGuard and MySQL Cluster Practical experience in Service Management (Support Tickets Incident and Problem Management)
Capability to document processes efficiently and mentor other team members on such processes
Experience with Linux and its monitoring tools
Working knowledge of Oracle and MySQL Business Continuity operations such as backup/restore and disaster recovery SQL programming PLSQL programming and optimizations
Knowledgeable about network and storage technologies
Using thirdparty tools services and scripts establish metrics and monitor the health/utilization of infra resources
Excellent working knowledge on Shell Scripting
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for database maintenance and system faults noticed by monitoring and reported by Application Support Collaborate closely with application owners to assess and improve application and application environment performance and reliability
Troubleshoot database issues and do root cause analysis
To resolve issues collaborate with system and application owners quality assurance release management and others
Work with application users to create and run SQL and PLSQL objects and queries
Active participation in incident and problem management
Participate in afterhours and weekend support as well as oncall help.
Active involvement in knowledge sharing and documentation
