Detailed Description:
Software Product Engineering Group mainly focuses upon providing the solution based upon its technical capabilities. It also aims to design robust frameworks and key designing for application development which would accelerate the business and LCCI - SPE aims to be strong Technical -Agile team in overall LCCI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical expertise which supports Access Management, Backup and Monitoring, API Management System, Key Management and Data Loss System.
- Help the Development team to build the product with corrective approach.
- Mentor and manage the team and help them to design the key solution.
- Ability to manage the end-to-end technical capabilities for projects.
- Proven Leadership skills with different geographical locations.
- Identifies synergies and reuse opportunities to improve efficiency and cost savings.
- Actively contribute to SPE system to improve the quality, security, and stability of our solutions.
- Identifies and drives proof of concepts for emerging technologies at Lilly and helps the SPE team prepare for the adoption of these technologies.
- Adhering to Team Lilly Culture.
Required Experience:
- 12+ years of experience.
- Prior Development experience with Python/Java, React or any other Python based frameworks.
- Proven cloud development experience AWS or AZURE.
- Experience in Python development and leading the Technical Team.
- Understanding of IT life cycle methodology & processes.
- Experience in understanding and Leading Enterprise Platform/Solutions.
- Experience working with Microservices/Service Oriented Architecture Frameworks.
- Good Understanding on Middleware technologies.
- Experience in leading unit testing and API contract testing.
- Working with multiple internal IT organizations or external suppliers, virtually and across different geographies.
- Experience in working in Scrum - agile methodologies, coding standards, programming, code reviews, source management (GitHub Actions), build processes and Jira.
- Experience with Incident and Problem management processes, tools, and techniques.
- Application of corporate policies and procedures.
- Good learning ability regarding technologies and business processes.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Strong communication written and verbal.
- Self-motivated to prioritise and complete multiple tasks without direct supervision.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Effective analytical, problem solving and investigative skills.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Ability to resolve issues across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- In depth knowledge of one or more Lilly application areas and/or business areas is desirable.
- Evidence of creativity, pro activity and influencing skills.
- English, fluent - oral & written communication. An additional language is an advantage.
