Job description
The Team: Direct Web Services enable firms to easily integrate Morningstar's data, research, and reports into their digital solutions. Our APIs serve the most up-to-date Morningstar data and research directly into clients' digital tools and reports, providing access to investment universes, data, and research, covering over 300,000 investments and more than 2,000 data points.
The Role: In this role, you will be a technical consultant on Direct Web Services' Global Delivery & Migration team, participating as a subject matter expert within the sales pipeline, end to end solution delivery, and migration support from legacy to modern implementations.
Responsibilities: - Establish a relationship with the client technical team and key stakeholders.
- Advise client on best practice design and configuration by developing ad-hoc Proof of Concepts (PoC) to demonstrate Morningstar capabilities.
- Coordinate work with developers to refine the client solutions.
- Complete discovery of client requirements along with ICs/IMs
- Produce Solution Design Document for the Statement of Work and/or Tech Documents
- Elaborate technical concepts to an audience of technical and business executives.
- Coordinate with offshore resources as needed.
- Proactively audit, coordinate & own technical issues that affect data delivery clients and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Support internal teams on technical details/insights.
Requirements: - A bachelor`s degree in computer science or an engineering field.
- 5-8 years of prior technical experience.
- Extensive experience in Client interaction and/or technical consulting, pre-sales / post-sales engineering.
- Expert knowledge of REST API & SOAP along with experience on API client tools like Postman.
- Experience with Agile is required.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good knowledge of .Net Core Framework.
- Good knowledge of C#, MVC, Entity and .NET framework.
- Good knowledge and experience in IIS 7.5+
- Good knowledge in T-SQL.
- Knowledge of AWS will be a plus.
- Knowledge of XML / XSLT will be a plus.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and library like jQuery is nice to have.
- Strong documentation habits are essential, as is the ability to thoroughly consider and make thoughtful recommendations on all analysis, design, implementation, and troubleshooting issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact in both written and oral English.
- Proven ability to perform in a demanding environment together with a flexible attitude.
