The Wealth Management Risk Management credit risk team is searching for a Credit Officer who will work to identify, measure, manage and monitor credit risk across our global businesses. The individual will be responsible for the approval of new and existing extensions of credit. The Credit Officer will be accountable for the management of credit risks arising from counterparties, trading, investments, industries, geographies, and clients. The ideal candidate will partner effectively with clients, business partners, and risk leaders, to mitigate risk while structuring and approving credit transactions. The Credit Officer will also manage a portfolio within acceptable credit quality and risk appetite. This position will be a Credit Associate role managing client credit in the US Private bank portfolio focusing on the Single Coverage Portfolio.
In this role, the individual will collaborate with senior risk leaders, business partners, middle office, and other control functions to understand the potential impact of credit on other types of risk – e.g., Market, Liquidity, Operating, Reputational, etc. In addition, the Credit Officer will be responsible for analysis of credit opportunities, structuring transactions, negotiating, and reviewing terms, conducting due diligence, and identifying potential risks for counterparties, issuers and/or clients. As a Credit Officer the candidate will also drive innovation by initiating and leading key transformation projects for the organization.
