Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing various engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to ensure project objectives are met within specified timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and obstacles, and implement effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Design and Development:
- Collaborate with design teams to develop engineering plans, specifications, and drawings for project execution.
- Review and approve design documents, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure they meet project requirements and regulatory standards.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all engineering work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Implement and maintain effective quality management systems to continuously improve project outcomes.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including clients, management, and project teams.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork among project team members, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving.
Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
- Troubleshoot technical problems, resolve conflicts, and make timely decisions to keep projects on track and minimize disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as CAD, CAM, and project management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
