What We'll Bring:

This role is to be part of our specialist Network and Infrastructure Operational Team, responsible for the day-to-day activities required to run business IT systems.

What You'll Bring:

Job Description:

This role is to be part of our specialist Network and Infrastructure Operational Team, responsible for the day-to-day activities required to run business IT systems. These include:

3rd line fault resolution and troubleshooting of incidents.

Technical escalation for our 1st and 2nd line teams.

None project driven work including system upgrades, patching and inventory mgmt. and network configuration changes.

Deploy service improvements and automation of processes.

Adherence to the Change Management process.

Support small works projects that do not require full project management and governance wrapper.

Work closely with the SRE team, to deliver resolutions and develop your skills alongside these experts.

Support the escalation of issues and assignment to the relevant 3rd party.

Own release and rollback through our Route to Live deployment process.

Sharing knowledge and processes with members of the 1st and 2nd line teams so that we are constantly pushing work towards first line fix.

Contribute to the development of team members through coaching and mentoring.

Be part of an on-call function once an appropriate level of onboarding is met after probation .

Cisco networking principles:

Cisco CCNP qualification or equivalent

BGP / OSPF / VRF

IOS / NXOS / VPC / VLAN / FEX / Spanning Tree

Cisco ISE

Administering BIG IP Enterprise class load balancers and supporting technologies:

F5 BIG IQ, LTM, GSLB

SSL Certificate Management and best practices

External DNS and Domain Management

Administering and troubleshooting clustered next generation Fs:

Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower Threat Defence

Checkpoint

Administering cloud-based network topology and connectivity

Microsoft Azure Express Route

Amazon AWS

Minimum two years' experience supporting an Enterprise Network Environment

Managing workload using an ITSM service tool

Adopting and operating within ITIL best practices.

Operating network monitoring tools for alerting and standards

Ability to manage third party vendor and suppliers in fault resolution.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

KEMP load balancer technology

Open Gear out of band switch management

Tufin audit tooling

IPAM

Network automation tools, technologies and associated best practices.

Web Application Firewall Technology

Use of Network Lab Technology and virtualisation.

Passion for quality excellence and delivering the right thing

Collaborative approach to other technical teams across the business

Strong English language skills
