Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Planner and Buyer to join our team at CAI, a prominent footwear brand. As a Category Planner and Buyer, you will play a vital role in shaping our product strategy and ensuring optimal inventory levels. Through meticulous data analysis, you will contribute to the planning of pricing structures, assortment categories, colour variations, and size distributions.
Location : Lower Parel Work model : Onsite working Days : Monday to Friday + Alternate Saturdays Timings : 9:30-6:30 PM Budget : 8-12 LPA (depending on experience and previous CTC) Responsibilities : Utilise market trends, historical sales data, and competitor analysis to make informed decisions about product planning. Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and develop a well-balanced product assortment, considering customer preferences and market demands. Collaborate with pricing teams to determine competitive yet profitable pricing structures for various product categories. Ensure optimal inventory levels by monitoring sell-through rates, identifying slow-moving items, and proposing corrective actions. Assist in planning the launch of new products, providing insights into market expectations, and recommending appropriate quantities. Identify opportunities for category growth, proposing new product launches, and refining existing offerings based on consumer feedback and market trends. Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to align category plans with overall business objectives. Requirements Previous experience in merchandise planning or retail buying in the footwear industry. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, and forecasting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of retail software and inventory management tools. Detail-oriented with multitasking abilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
