Job description

• Prepare detailed Energy Models for building types including but not limited to Offices, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial, etc
• Gather and interpret facility data from drawings and clearly document all assumptions in reporting format.
• Read and understand project documentation of energy/sustainable design related systems and requirements related to calculations and standardized energy compliance templates.
• Calibrate baseline models referencing occupancy equipment schedules, as-built equipment performance and existing weather and utility consumption historical data.
• Modify baseline models through iterative parametric modeling to demonstrate energy saving schemes associated with electrical and mechanical equipment, control sequences, operating schedules or other building components and quantify energy saving opportunities.
• Format simulation output to suit required deliverables and reporting structure through the utilization of comparable baseline models.
• Compliance with internal and industry-wide safety standards, practices, and codes is essential.
• Implementation of successful projects that meets and/or exceeds company objectives and technical needs required to deliver customer energy cost savings.

Responsibilities:

• This role will have no direct reporting associates.
• Responsible for overall performance of Energy Modeling tasks (as assigned by the Project Lead).
• Responsible for overall quality of deliverables to the clients (on the assigned tasks): Energy Modeling.

Delivery of Energy Modeling projects as per clients expectations.

Skillset:

Technical

• Trane Trace
• Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• IES VE and Design Builder

Domain

• USA Energy Modeling standards/ASHRAE
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems/Energy Modeling

Working knowledge on USA projects/design (must)

• Commercial Buildings Residential Buildings
• Sports facilities/Stadiums/Sports Buildings
• Office Buildings/Hospital Buildings/Mixed-use Buildings

Qualification:

• B. Tech/M. Tech (Mechanical)

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience working on Energy Modeling platforms.
• 2+ years of Sr Design Engineer experience (Energy Modeling)
