Role & Responsibilities

As the Director of Creative Marketing team, you will be responsible for the creative and content delivery supporting the development and execution of marketing strategies for our products and brand. You will work closely with the Creative leadership in the United States and with cross-functional teams including product management, design, content, and marketing to develop content that drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales.

This role is responsible for translating marketing strategies into original, compelling creative concepts and approaches. The Director leads both an internal team of content producers, designers and writers overseeing multiple projects all the way through to execution. This role leads the conceptual portion of the process and is invested in the production and delivery aspects, while partnering with the Creative Leadership team on creative strategies.

  • Leads creative strategy, execution and delivery of key channels such as email, social, display and Lowes One Roof Media Network (LORMN) creative needs.
  • Member of the In-House Creative Services Leadership team
  • Drives creative reviews and makes key decisions for select channels in alignment with business needs and Lowe's creative blueprint.
  • Analyze/interpret business briefs becoming the project expert and point person for the creative team and internal partners in media, brand marketing and creative operations.
  • Delivers breakthrough production processes to lower the production costs while maintaining quality; demonstrates ability to innovate, experiment, learn & scale ideas
  • Manages and leads creation and strategic vision of video, photo and content production services
  • Manages project planning (creating annual scope across departments), timelines, intake and budgets for both video and photography
  • Hires and develops a team of producers, editors and designers.
  • Drives strategy, execution and CMS for videos for streaming devices and lowes.com with an eye on innovation and 'what's next in content creation and long form storytelling
  • Works with capacity and portfolio planning to assess and monitor team capacity to ensure viability and feasibility of projects
  • Leads managers & team leads who work closely with cross functional partners and external agencies to develop highly effective creative solutions to our brand's key business goals
  • Develops a high performing team, provides guidance and direction on daily tasks. Determines appropriate work to delegate to the team based on their focus areas and development needs.
  • Coaches and mentors the team and develops talent within the team.

Qualification & Experience

  • 13+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams in a retail GCC environment.
  • Experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in a consumer-facing brand or agency.
  • Bachelor's degree - Marketing, Design, Communications or related field OR 4 years relevant experience
  • 7+ yrs of creative design experience - The Creative team is heavily focused on visual assets, so a strong creative eye is required
  • Prior experience in Retail/ Ecommerce/ GCC / Marketing Advertising Industry
  • Experience and understanding of brand mechanics and how to build a cohesive brand experience
  • Knowledge of brand sentiment sites, social media (organic/paid), SEM, branding, career sites and job sites
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Marketing and connection to broader enterprise functions
  • Strong interpersonal problem solving and multi-tasking abilities
  • Demonstrated self-starter
  • Experience in a retail/home improvement environment
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative campaigns that demonstrate innovation and creativity.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of marketing analytics and ability to use data to inform creative decisions.
  • Passion for design, creativity, and marketing
  • Relevant experience (video, photography, CGI and content creation)
  • Experience in project management
