Job description

Senior Data Acquisition Engineer -Typescript for Web Crawling (m/f/x) Responsibilities:

Implement algorithms, features and APIs using Python and JavaScript

Work in an agile environment and contribute your ideas to continuously improve our products, processes, and tools

Extending Fraud Detection Engine: Collaborate with our team to expand and improve our engine for identifying and removing fraudulent ads from online marketplaces.

Implementing New E-commerce Marketplace: Integrate a new e-commerce platform into our system, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.

Maintenance: Perform ongoing maintenance and updates to existing e-commerce marketplaces within our ecosystem.

Monitoring: Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure the smooth operation of our fraud detection engine. Requirements:

6+ years of working experience with JavaScript for crawling and retrieving information from online data sources. You should be familiar with libraries such as scrapy and puppeteer;

Able to independently own and ship your code

Good knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, microservices, Docker and AWS

Familiarity with monitoring , alerting and logging tools such as Datadog would be an added advantage.

Experience with Typescript would be a plus.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup developing its innovative product

Proven experience with TypeScript and Nest.js.

Strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure.

Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

Previous experience in fraud detection, e-commerce, or related elds is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a collaborative environment. Must have skills
