Job Description: SOURCING ENGINEER
Company Description:
Since its Inception in 1994, the Group has grown into a multi-location company from single unit, multiple product range from Automobile Ancillary to Home Furnishing.RGI entered in manufacturing in 1994 the group entered in “Metal Home Furnishing” articles .In financial year 2011-12, substantial export of @ 6 million USD indicates the way forward.
Academic Requirements:
- A completed academic. B.E./B.Tech degree or Diploma in mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities:
- Identification of potential suppliers and finalization of suppliers based on consideration of norms
- Preliminary discussion for manufacturability with supplier
- Procuring quotation from identified supplier, Comparison of quotation of suppliers and preparation of comparative statement
- Settlement & negotiation of prices with vendors, based on process with supplier
- Coordination with supplier and quality department for quality issues and corrective action at supplier end accordingly
- Coordination for design changes (Engineering change) implementation
- Material procurement & planning considering sales & production plan along with the coverage of material and inventories in hand.
- No production loss due to material shortage.
- Giving forecast to the suppliers in accordance with the rolling plan.
- Follow up with the accounts for timely payment to the suppliers.
- Inventory control & management in order to avoid ageing of material.
- New Vendor development for alternate sourcing to reduce the raw material cost.
- Arrange the samples from Vendors as per the drawings for evaluation and testing purpose.
- To obtain the fair price for the material by comparing the quotes and negotiations.
- Preparation of daily inventory reports.
- Minimization of the quality problems, new improvements & co-ordination for the free replacement with the supplier.
- Knowledge of High seas sale, bond sale transactions.
- Coordinating with suppliers and getting the quotations of exact materials required.
