Senior Engineer - Water and Chemical Specialist Job Location: Gurgaon Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water and Chemical Specialist for our Review and Detail Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering various water treatment systems, including Pre-treatment plant, Filtration Plant, Demineralization Plant, Potable Water Treatment Plants (PWTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) including ZLD, Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, Cooling water treatment & chemical dosing, Chlorination (Chlorine gas & Hypochlorite ), side stream filtration and associated processes. The role involves creating Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), System Design Calculation, System Description, Water Balance Diagram, Preparation of MR, Review of Bids, Vendor Drawing Review and provide support to layout team for relevant arrangement design finalization to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of water treatment and chemical dosing system solutions. Candidate with experience in Power Plant water treatment, wastewater treatment and chemical dosing system would have added advantage. Primary Responsibility: Design Engineering: Lead the design and engineering activities for water treatment projects, including ETP, PT-DM, STP, WWTP, RO, Filtrations and related systems. Chemical dosing system for boiler water & cooling water & related systems. Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions to meet project requirements and environmental standards. Perform detailed calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of water treatment processes & performing RO projections. Create comprehensive PFDs and P&IDs to illustrate the flow, control, and instrumentation of water treatment processes. Prepare detailed technical documentation, specifications, and drawings for the construction and operation of water treatment facilities. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to communicate design concepts and requirements effectively. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Layout Design: Develop layout designs for water treatment facilities, optimizing space utilization and ensuring efficient operation. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate water treatment systems seamlessly into overall plant layouts. Other Requirements & Expectations: · Should have a good command over English language. Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external parties is a must. · Should be able to participate in meetings with Indian as well as international Clients/Vendors independently. · Should be able to work in a Team environment and coordinate within the Team members. · Should be prepared to work in variety of projects. Your Profile: · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical / Mechanical and Environmental Engineering, or a related field. · 10- 15 years of experience in water treatment system design and engineering. · Proven experience in designing and engineering water treatment systems, with a focus on ETP, PWTP, STP, WWTP, RO & ZLD. · Proficient in using design software and tools for creating system design deliverables. · Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. · Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
