Job Summary Responsible for network site planning, equipment deployment planning, deployment managing and basic design of network instances. Completes network deployment, manages contract teams in deployment, provisions and supports, wireless, Ethernet transport regional network serving residential and commercial customers. Responds to network incidents, determines resources needed for correction and corrects or leads team involved in resolving incident. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience. Job Description Core Responsibilities What you will do The Primary purpose of this role is to be a CPE VoIP Test Engineer within the Access network domain contributing to the SIP ATA design for Sky Retail and Business VoIP services. Design and execute test cases against the Sky SIP/VoIP requirements. Write summary and exit reports at the end of each test cycle. Work closely with our ATA vendors to develop new features, understand any issues, and ensure timely fixes are available. Manage the lab equipment and automation software to continually improve testing procedures and efficiency. Liaise with other parts of the business to proactively analyze trend data on ATA performance. You will have: Experience testing VoIP either on the Core (IMS) side or Access side (CPE with ATA ports). Expertise in the SIP protocol and IMS infrastructure. Basic Knowledge of DHCP IPv4, IPv6 and DNS A strong understanding of RTP, RTCP, RTP Events, DTMF and SDP. Good understanding of different call flows like Call Hold, Call conference, Call transfer, Call forward, Emergency Call etc. Strong understanding in Voice/network troubleshooting techniques, including packet captures through Wireshark and trace analysis for SIP & RTP.
