Job description
Essentials for a Government Relations Manager:
- Bachelor's or a master's in Public Administration, Political Science, or related fields. A master's degree is recommended but not necessary - Five years of experience in government relations or a related role - Strong understanding of government processes, regulations, and protocols - Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, project managers, implementation agencies, cluster representatives, et cetera - In-depth knowledge of government schemes, policies, regulations, and initiatives relevant to our clusters. - Experience and capability of working and coordinating with various government officials and agencies - Proficient in English and Hindi. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus Key Responsibilities: - Establishing and nurturing relationships with government officials, elected representatives, and other stakeholders to promote the organisations' services and interests - Regularly monitoring, analysing, and reporting on relevant government policies, schemes, and regulations that could impact the organisation's projects or opportunities - Representing Nisarg at government meetings, conferences, seminars, and workshops. This includes preparing detailed reports and feedback for senior management - Assisting the senior management team in strategy development, focusing on maximising opportunities in the government sector - Ensuring all dealings and documentation are compliant with relevant laws and ethical standards - Interfacing and collaborating with clients, MSMEs, and state ministries to align cluster project goals with government policies, initiatives, and funding opportunitiesJob tags
