Job description
Qualification:
1) Diploma in Export / Import / Supply Chain / Logistic Management / Packaging Development
2) Graduation in Science Stream will be an added advantage
Experience: 1) 10 to 15yrs of experience in Logistic (Domestic & Overseas) domain including Import & Export Clearance of temperature sensitive shipments (2 to 8 deg. ; -20 deg.c. ; etc.) ; Equipment's ; Machineries, spares, raw material; chemicals; consumables; etc. preferably from Pharma / Bio-pharma Industry.
2) Must be aware of all documentation & procedures required for Import & Export registration at various domestic & international ports; various duty benefit schemes; Import license & Export license requirements for various products.
3) Must be aware of good logistic vendor data base - Logistic vendors ; CHA ; freight forwarders & Cold Chain Vendors like Refrigerated Vehicle ; Cold chain packing / boxes)
4) Negotiation & Finalization of Commercial Contracts & Service Level Agreements with Logistic Vendors / Freight Forwarders ; CHA & Cold Chain Vendors like Refrigerated Vehicle ; Cold chain packing / boxes.
5) Independently streamlining & setting up a robust logistic network for efficient movement of goods (Import & Export).
6) Having working experience & expertise in other material categories like Packing Material & Packaging Development will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibility areas:
- To achieve Savings on Logistic Material & Services utilized across the organization
- To develop alternate vendors for entire Logistic Vendor base (CHA ; freight forwarders & Cold Chain Vendors like Refrigerated Vehicle ; Cold chain packing / boxes)
- To perform Technical evaluation activity (Technical evaluation w.r.t to user requirement) for Logistic Material & Services
- To actively drive commercial evaluation process including negotiation (making techno-commercial evaluation summary of Logistic material / services ) ; finalizing commercial contracts & service level agreements with logistic vendors
- To closely review & monitor each logistic movement thus ensuring timely & safe delivery of material at various locations & at appropriate temperature conditions (for temperature sensitive shipments)
- To drive any process optimization for bringing operational efficiency in the supply chain.
Job Description: - To independently manage & execute logistic function (as described above)
- Global Sourcing of Vendors for logistic material & services
- To drive techno-commercial evaluation process ; negotiate ; release commercial contract & service level agreements with all potential vendors (CHA ; freight forwarders & Cold Chain Vendors like Refrigerated Vehicle ; Cold chain packing / boxes)
- Planning & Execution of logistic activities in co-ordination with respective stakeholders & logistic service provider to ensure safe & timely delivery of material / services at various locations.
- To drive Import & export clearance activity for faster clearance of goods from ports.
- To set up an efficient; robust & competitive logistic chain for import & export shipments
- MIS preparation on periodic basis (spend analysis data ; savings data ; delivery updates to stakeholders; alternate vendor development ; process optimization; etc.)
Technical Competencies
- Strong commercial evaluation & negotiation skills.
- Good Technical product knowledge on Logistic Material / Services & Incoterms.
- Good market knowledge of vendors for Logistic Material / Services (CHA ; freight forwarders & Cold Chain Vendors like Refrigerated Vehicle ; Cold chain packing / boxes)
- Good ERP Knowledge (SAP).
- MS Office Knowledge - Good knowledge of Excel - vlookup, pivot table , etc, Word , Powerpoint , Outlook.
