Job description

We are seeking a skilled Azure Architect to join our team at Optical Arc Pvt. Ltd. As an Azure Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. This is a key role that will contribute to the success of our custom software development, mobile application, database management system, and website development projects. The position is based in Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, India, and is available as either a contract-to-hire or contract role.

Responsibilities:

1. Architect, design, and implement secure, scalable, and highly available Azure solutions.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust cloud architectures.
3. Lead and mentor a team of Azure engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
4. Implement and enforce best practices for Azure resource management and deployment.
5. Evaluate and recommend Azure services to meet specific project requirements.
6. Develop and maintain documentation for Azure architecture, configurations, and processes.
7. Ensure compliance with security standards and implement robust identity and access management.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure solutions with existing systems.
9. Stay current with Azure updates, industry trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
2. Extensive experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
3. Proficient in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code.
4. Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, and identity services.
5. Hands-on experience with Azure monitoring, logging, and analytics tools.
6. Experience in migrating on-premises workloads to Azure.
7. Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools.
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
2. Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and serverless computing.
3. Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures.
4. Previous experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus
