Job Description:

Main Accountabilities:

Engineering authority in System Design & Studies for projects/tenders with low to high complexity for Flexible A.C.Transmission Systems (FACTS) Technology aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS) Business. Execution of

complete engineering assignments on small, medium, or large projects/tender with cost effectively and in accordancewith contract specifications and quality standards.Coordinate with Engineering Manager, Engineering Leads, Tendering team, Project managers, SCM,Primary/Mechanical Design, Secondary/Electrical design, Control Design, consultants, end customers etc. andprovide required support in each Project / Tender.

Activities Involved:

. Involved in performing power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, switchingtransients and alike for utility / industrial. systems.

. Correlating power system performance (i.e., dynamic performance, transient performance, switchingphenomena etc.) with design of power system equipment and system control.

. Modeling of power system equipment and performing simulation in power system software packages such asEMTDC, PSCAD, PSS/E, RTDS, DIgSILENT and alike

. Specifying power system equipment such as arrestors, capacitor, reactor, transformer and alike.

. Verifying supplier documents and equipment testing requirements

Qualification & Experience:

. PhD in Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 1-3 years

. M. Tech, Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 2-5 years

. B.E/B. Tech, Electrical Engineering and/or with relevant work Experience of 5-10 years

Specific Knowledge & Skillsets:

. Knowledge on Simulation tools like PSCAD/PSSE/MATLAB/DiGSILENT

. Knowledge on International standards (i.e., IEEE/IEC/GIGRE)

. Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system

Soft skills:

. Individual contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects/challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.

. Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization.

. Works independently, applying established standards

. Excellent English speaker, good communication skills
