Test Engineer - Kronos

Experience-3/8 Years

Location- Bengaluru

Purpose & Overview

This is an individual contributor/module lead position (no direct reports) that will be responsible

for delivering on QA test execution with supervision. This position is on the QA Delivery team

which is part of a larger QA Team that will also have a Performance and Automation Testing

team and a Process and Audit team. This includes the identification of Functional, Technical

and Integration related defects; as well as the effective documentation of defects to expedite

resolution.

Responsibilities

 Strong work experience desired in Kronos – Forecast, Scheduling, T&L, Integration

modules

 Responsible for being the subject matter expert for Kronos business functions as

Supported And Other Applications In The HRMS Group Portfolio.

 Serves as a Kronos single point of contact for small projects, releases, and other

implementations specific to the HR area of work, including coordination of tasks, testing,

delivery of work from other groups within the IT department and business areas

 Experience writing use cases, test cases and test scripts for Kronons applications,

configurations, and integration modules for all common SDLC test phases including

FIT/SIT, UAT, regression, performance and DR test phases.

 Experience With Excel Macros For Data Validation

 Creation of Test Strategy and execution plan

 Participation in Test Scenario and Test Case identification

 Creation and Maintenance of Test Scenarios and Test Cases

 Identification and Maintenance of Test Data

 Execution of Functional and System Tests

 Documentation of test execution utilizing HP ALM

 Proactively identify functional, technical, and integration related defects.

 Perform preliminary trouble shooting of defects to facilitate quick resolution

 Documentation of defects utilizing HP ALM

 Effectively communicate issues and risks in addition to daily testing status to Test

Manager or Test Lead

Qualifications

 Required:3-8 years of testing experience in Kronos – Workforce Management.

 Strong Knowledge in Kronos – Forecast, Scheduling, T&L, Integration modules required

for this position.

 Experience In Leading a Team/module

 Hands-on experience with excel macros is a must

 Automation experience in any of the module is good to have

 Delivery experience on projects using a defined Software Development Lifecycle and

Project Management methodologies.

 Exposure to software testing methodologies (test planning, test scope identification, test

case

Development, test execution, defect management).

 Organizational And Planning Skills

 Strong interpersonal skills, proactive participation in Team environment

 Effective Documentation And Communication Skills

 Experience using HP Quality Center/ALM

 Demonstrates analytical skills to assist in solving problems and making decisions.

Applies a systematic approach to data gathering and analysis to assist in making key

decisions support by facts.

 Takes pride in delivering quality work to meet the needs of clients and customers.
