Position Title
Documentation Specialist
Position Summary The Documentation Specialist is
responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation for
a variety of products and services. The ideal candidate will have experience
with automated documentation tools and processes, as well as strong writing and
editing skills.
Position Responsibilities - Research and write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, such as user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, API references, and release notes.
- Use automated documentation tools and processes to create and update
documentation.
- Work with product managers, SMEs, and engineers to gather requirements and
ensure that documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Proofread and edited documentation for clarity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other documentation specialists to ensure that documentation
is consistent across all products and services.
- Respond to customer inquiries about documentation.
- Participate in technical writing projects from start to finish.
- Research and white paper writing experience.
- Stay up to date on industry standards and best practices for technical
documentation.
Position Education
And Experience (required And Preferred)- Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical documentation.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Having experience with automated documentation tools (Chameleon, Product Fruits,
User Pilot, etc.) and processes that are specifically used in software
companies would be considered a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
