We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bilingual Project Manager with proficiency in both Japanese and English languages to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills in both languages, and a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
• Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication in both Japanese and English
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project and develop mitigation strategies
• Proactively address issues to prevent or minimize project disruptions
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial objectives are met
• Allocate resources efficiently and effectively to achieve project milestones
• Oversee project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to track progress and identify areas for improvement
• Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project documentation in both Japanese and English

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Experience in IT or software development projects
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English languages (spoken and written) is essential
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus
• Knowledge of Japanese business culture and practices
• Familiarity with project management tools and software
