Job Title : Test Lead EngineerJob Summary :Test Engineers are responsible for assessing the quality of specifications and technical design documents in order to ensure timely, relevant and meaningful feedback. They are involved in planning and implementing strategies for quality management and testing. Data Engineers will be responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance, and support data assets including; Azure Data Lake and data warehouse development, modeling, package creation, SQL script creation, stored procedure development, integration services support among other responsibilities. Candidate have at least 5-12 years hands-on Azure experience as a Data Engineer, must be an expert in SQL and have extensive expertise building data pipelines. Candidate will be accountable for meeting deliverable commitments including schedule and quality compliance. This Candidate must have skills to plan and schedule own work activities, coordinate activities with other cross-functional team members to meet project goals.Basic understanding of :- Excel and visualization tool & working experience in PowerBI or Tableau or Similar- Batch and Real time data processing- Agile Process (Scrum cadences, Roles, deliverables) & working experience in either Azure DevOps, JIRA or SimilarStrong In/should have :- End to End data warehousing systems from Data modelling to Reporting- Hands-on experience with Database and reporting testing- Hands-on experience on at least one of the Scripting/Programming languages like Unit or Python- Writing complex SQL queries & working experience in Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift or Similar- Automation testing using Java, Python etc.- Understanding and writing functional specifications/technical specifications/Business rules/Data rules.- Responsible for turning gathered requirements into test cases and scripts in both ETL & Reporting areas.- Author test strategy, test plans, test cases, and/or test scripts required to validate requirements.- Understand the existing report design, build test scripts and write SQL statements to validate reports- Understanding and Analyzing Test Requirements, Tracking changes and maintenance of test Requirements- Strong analytical and problem solving skills- Ability to function in a high volume setting with tight deadlines- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills- Reports test results and enter problems and issues into the bug database. Monitors and updates bug reports as needed including bug report closure.- Writes UAT for release and interact with customers to get it passed.- Strong in reading Logical/Physical model on Big Data sets or modern data warehouse- Strong Communication (read & write in English), Collaboration & Presentation skills & working experience in team player or Similar- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements- Monitor debugging process results- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategiesSKILLS : BIG DATA TESTING, SQL, TEST STRATEGY, ETL, DATAWAREHOUSE, TEST PLANNING, BUG REPORTING, SYSTEM TEST (ref:hirist.tech)
