Social Media Manager
Job Description: We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and organised social media manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing innovative content and strategies across all social media platforms to increase our brand awareness and build an engaged, organic following. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to contribute to our burgeoning podcast series, leveraging this medium to enhance our audience reach and engagement. Responsibilities: Content Creation & Curation: Develop, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written, and audio/podcast) across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand visibility and traffic across all platforms. This includes setting goals and objectives, defining target audiences, and understanding the nuances of each platform to tailor content accordingly. Podcast Production: Play a key role in the production and promotion of our podcast series. This includes content ideation, coordinating with guests, promoting episodes across social media channels, and analysing engagement metrics to gauge success and inform future content. Engagement: Foster community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a timely manner. Implement engagement strategies to encourage community interaction and participation. Analytics: Monitor, track, and report on feedback and online reviews. Utilise analytics tools to gauge the success of content and campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimise future activities. Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, applications, and podcasting. Use this knowledge to keep the brand at the forefront of digital marketing. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions. Collaborate with influencers, other partners, and podcast guests for cross-promotion and content collaboration opportunities. Brand Advocacy: Build and maintain our brand’s voice across all social media channels, ensuring that all content, including podcast episodes, is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimised for search and user engagement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field. Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role with specific experience in podcast production or promotion. Demonstrated ability to develop social media strategies and create compelling content across multiple platforms, including audio/podcast content. Excellent copywriting, editing, presentation, and communication skills. Proficiency in using social media analytics tools and able to interpret the results to drive decisions. Strong organisational, time-management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Creative thinker with the ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
