Job description
The Sr Technology Product Manager is a member of a highly innovative Agile Team that represents the voice of the customer and is responsible for working with product line managers and other stakeholders including other technical product managers and the team to define and prioritize the product backlog so that the solution effectively addresses business needs while maintaining technical Integrity as a shared platform.
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in the success of CCH Tax Accounting software projects and products.
- Define and prioritize the product backlog so that solutions are effectively identified and implemented.
- Ensure the development team has the right priorities and all of the necessary details to deliver high-quality products efficiently.
- Work directly with customers to solve problems, assist with escalated inquiries and to understand the market needs.
- Confirm the product backlog and implementation plan accurately depict the product priorities and adheres to the defined road map.
- Work closely with the application Product Management team to understand proper prioritization of new functions and features according to market requirements and use this to set priorities and goals.
- Ensure that the Product Backlog is constantly prioritized to secure delivery of maximum business value.
- Elicit feature requirements from application product management team and solicit details from customers and other stakeholders to ensure stories clearly identify scope and priorities.
- Collaborate with management and technical lead to determine implementation strategies and design direction.
- Review user stories to ensure complete and accurate functional and non-functional requirements.
- Communicates well with management, other technical product managers, development teams and leaders of the organization. Able to provide information clearly and concisely, both written and orally. Possesses strong listening skills, asking questions and giving feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Technical background with development or engineering (education or experience)
- Total 7 to 9 years of SDLC experience
- 3+ years of relevant product management, product owner, or business analysis experience in an agile environment developing commercial software solutions
- Familiar with cloud technologies or SaaS solutions
- Experience leading the product design process with usability professionals and product architects
- Conversant with software development lifecycle, Agile Scrum methodologies and Product Owner role
- Skilled at meeting facilitation and presentation
