Job description

Responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators for Territory Sales Manager

Manages sales and marketing of the company’s product and services in allocated territory. Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, strategies and action plans to improve long-term sales and earnings.

Maintain and appoint dealers /sub-dealers /distributors in defined locations. Plan and implement marketing strategies and clinical programs for advertising. Plan and implement sales and customer retention and development. Plan and manage sales and marketing as per agreed budget. Establish an environment for future growth in sales. Plan and manage internal communication and awareness of corporate direction, Company’s mission, vision and objectives. Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation and protect and develop the company’s brand by suitable PR activities. Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that affect current and future growth of territorial sales and profitability. Disseminate information to direct and dotted line reporting. Collaborate with end users like Hospitals, Surgeons and relevant Doctors to establish and develop business relationships. Give product demonstrations wherever required. Find and evaluate Tender and Government business. Coordinate and participate in a tender on behalf of the company. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, courier, telephone, e-mail and personal visits. Maintain and develop a computerized customer database. Attend training and develop relevant knowledge. Techniques and skills. Submitting monthly / Fortnightly reports of Sales, Market Surveys, Customer Requirements, Complaints, Expense Statements etc. Select and manage external agencies like Government Departments, Consultants, Hospital Administrators and Managers etc. Execute responsibilities to Lawful and Ethical standards. Any other task, may be entrusted by the Management from time to time irrespective of trade and grade.
