Job description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1.Execute engine performance and emission development along with data analysis
2.Perform base engine calibration and aftertreatment calibration (BS6) which includes DOC, DPF and SCR
3.Develop and execute selection of emission related hardwares like Turbocharger, Fuel Injectors, Piston Bowl, Aftereatment system etc.
Evaluate OBD monitoring strategies and perform calibration of different monitors
4.Handles multiple analytical tools / softwares like AVL CONCERTO, INCA, PUMA
5.Provides good understanding of heavy duty diesel emissions BS6.1 & 6.6.2 regulatory requirements including diagnostics
Analyse and determines Heavy duty commercial vehicle application duty cycles and its criticallity 
7.Define and execute calibration plan and DOE on engine dynamometer
Report making and presentations to communicate findings, draw 8.conclusions and give recommendations on next steps
9.Stays aware of new and upcoming aftertreatment technologies and testing methods
Vehicle Calibration : 
10.vehicle Performance, Driveabilty, on road Fuel Economy optimization
Environmental trials 
11.RDE & PEMS tests and data analysis
12.Heavy Duty Engine & Vehicle Certification knowledge

Skills critical to the role:

Engine combustion development.
Base engine calibration and aftertreatment calibration (especially SCR & DPF). 
Hands on experience in INCA, Concerto, PUMA
Performance & emission development skills in diesel engines
Knowledge in emission norms (BS4, BS6.1, BS6.2, OBD1 and OBD2
Knowledge in aftertreatment systems.
Possess excellent analytical skills, communication and presentation skills .

Experience

3-4years 

Industry Preferred

Automotive OEM, Engine Consultancy like AVL, Bosch etc., FIE supplier.

Qualifications

BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile)
