Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all conversion processes are designed to operate according to OHSE requirements
  • Analyse existing processes and then develop and execute systematic approaches to eliminate quality issues, to increase output per time and to bring waste to minimum
  • Review, complete and improve all necessary process documentation, such as work instructions, SOP etc.
  • On-board new jobs from R&D and establish optimal process parameters, hand-over to Production department
  • For new jobs, develop and test out all process documentation, such as work instructions and SOP
  • Standardize processes and implement 'centerlining' where beneficial
  • Regularly review adherence of Production department to set process parameters and escalate issues if necessary
  • Support Production in troubleshooting where necessary
  • Support Production in PICAPA process
  • Conduct skills assessments and refresher trainings within Production department
  • Support CI department with statistical analysis on a project basis
  • Act as the subject matter expert and closely cooperate with Amcor's other SME, on regional level as well as directly with other sites
  • Closely coordinate with Maintenance on equipment improvements and repairs
  • Develop and own new equipment specifications ('LUR') and closely coordinate with Regional SMEs and Project Engineering
  • Own the process of new equipment commissioning and approval
  • Initiate and, if necessary, implement any other continuous improvement methods that will help the Production department to operate in safer or more efficient manner
  • Establish respective progress and project reports on regular and timely basis
  • Continuously build product and technical knowledge and experience across the conversion processes

Requires:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical or related fields
  • 5 years experience and proven track record as a Production Supervisor in adhesive lamination
  • Experience in retort process is advantage
  • Able to communicate in English
