Job Summary:

As a Sales and Application Engineer in the mechanical field, your primary responsibility will be to support the sales team by providing technical expertise and assistance to customers. You will play a crucial role in understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable products or solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. This position requires a strong mechanical engineering background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement: Interact with potential customers to understand their needs, identify opportunities, and provide technical assistance for mechanical products or solutions.

2. Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and capabilities of mechanical products, addressing customer requirements and concerns.

3. Technical Support: Assist customers in selecting the most appropriate products or solutions for their specific applications, addressing technical queries, and providing detailed technical specifications and recommendations.

4. Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver technical proposals and quotations in ensuring accurate pricing, specifications, and compliance with customer requirements.

5. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their concerns, resolving issues, and providing post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, to provide customer feedback, gather technical information, and ensure smooth project execution.

7. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback, providing regular reports to management on sales performance and potential areas for improvement.

Requirements:

1. Education: BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related experience.

2. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, products, and applications.

3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

4. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze customer requirements, identify suitable solutions, and address technical challenges effectively.

5. Sales Aptitude: Basic understanding of sales processes and techniques, with a passion for customer satisfaction and sales growth.

6. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to establish and maintain long-term partnerships with customers.

7. Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing customer needs.

8. Technical Documentation: Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, including proposals, reports, and product specifications.

9. Computer Skills: Familiarity with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and technical software applications related to the mechanical field.
