What You'll Do
A unique opportunity to help establish and lead a tax center of excellence for all non-US global income tax operations for a large multi-national company. This opportunity is a high visibility role in the global finance organization and will have direct influence over the hiring and management of a large diverse team of talented tax professionals including staffing, collaboration, mentorship, goal setting, and performance measures. We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team, with a focus on value creation and a passion for tax, to grow with us and help drive and build our tax center of excellence.
- Establish and lead tax COE (Center of Excellence) ensuring coordination with various global finance teams and the global tax team.
- Implement global tax risk control initiatives and lead local initiatives to identify, evaluate and mitigate tax exposure.
- Implement global tax policies, standard operational procedures, processes, and systems used for tax returns preparation and reporting and monitoring of related compliance.
- Be an integral part of the Finance Community and the Global Tax team.
- Lead NON-US tax provision function in a large multinational enterprise including deep technical experience with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Non-GAAP accounting, annual reporting, tax rate and tax cash forecasting.
- Lead NON-US statutory reporting function in a large multinational enterprise including deep technical experience with IFRS and other statutory accounting methods, annual reporting requirements.
- Lead in-house tax compliance function in a large multinational enterprise including owning the preparation, review and filing of all NON-US corporate income tax returns as well as quarterly estimates and extensions where applicable.
- Manage external service providers supporting tax and statutory compliance functions, including financial statement auditors.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to address risk and efficiencies through automation and optimization of technology.
- Lead a large diverse team of talented tax professionals including staffing, collaboration, mentorship, goal setting and performance measures.

You Bring (experience & Qualifications)- Minimum of 15+ years of tax experience including direct tax, international tax, and tax accounting experience in a combination of Big 4 public accounting and multinational corporate environment
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and/or law degree
- Requires professional tax qualification/certification attained from a recognized tax training body (e.g.; Chartered Accountant, CPA, JD-LLM)
- Requires a minimum of seven (7)+ years' experience in global direct tax accounting and compliance
- Requires extensive experience leading a tax COE to manage global compliance, including leading tax transformation efforts
- Significant experience formulating tax policies, governance, and planning
- Organized, analytical and methodical with strong ability to think strategically
- Strong communication skills including experience presenting complicated tax issues/concepts to leadership
