As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services (IFS), a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. Intel Foundry Services will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. IFS will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry-standard design packages.
This business unit is completely dedicated to the success of its customers with full P and L responsibilities. This model will ensure that our foundry customers' products will receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement and capacity commitments. IFS is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings and we are expanding imminently to include our most advanced technologies, which are optimized for cutting-edge performance, making them ideal for high-performance applications.
About the Role:
We are looking for highly motivated and proactive analog layout or circuit design engineers with strong desire to learn, execute and deliver.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- RF and analog IC layout design and verification in advanced Intel technology nodes: Intel 16, Intel 3 and Intel 18A.
- Support RF and analog circuit design in advanced Intel technology nodes.
- Participate in reference design and/or customer support if needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Knowledge in analog and digital IC design and manufacturing basics.
- Experience with Virtuoso layout tools or Virtuoso ADE tools (Maestro).
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills strong team player.
Preferred Experiences in one or more items below:
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience
- Experiences with advanced technology node (FinFET or GAA) circuit design or layout.
- Experiences in high frequency, high performance, RF and mmW circuit design or layout for high volume IC products.
- Experiences in full chip layout and tape-out: floor-planning, power planning, bump/IO planning, clock route planning, block/module level integration.
- Experiences in digital backend design, flow, tools, and methodology.
- Experience in debugging and fixing DRC, LVS, ERC, Soft-check, Density, Antenna, ESD, Latch-up issues.
- Experiences with Siemens Calibre or Synopsys ICV verification tools.
- Experiences in high performance analog and mixed signal IC layout techniques like matching, layout dependent effects (LDE) or local layout effects (LLE).
- Experiences with different layout views and generation: LEF, DEF, GDS, OASIS, etc.
- Experiences with scripting in PERL/SKILL for layout and verification automation.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
