Job Description: Designation : Project Lead - NPD (Rail) Reporting to : Associate Director Location : Bangalore, Full Time Qualification : B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering Experience : 10 - 14 Years of experience in Rail industry/Heavy Vehicle Industry

Key Responsibilities / Functions: Proven experience in project management, specifically in the rail/heavy vehicle industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application in rail/heavy vehicle projects. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Commitment to safety and quality standards in rail/heavy vehicle project execution. Strong in driving NPD, Continuous Improvement and VAVE projects Accountable for on-time project delivery while upholding utmost technical standards and quality standards of the team Contributing to the business through innovative ideas and out-of-the-box thinking Groom Lead/Senior/Junior engineers on various technical and soft skills

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge) Combination of technical expertise and project management skills in railway industry is a must Experience in leading the NPD and Roll-out of Electric/battery powered switching locomotive and heavy switcher railcar mover, following robust Engineering Process Process Inputs from Market Research (VOC, Market Map, Strategy, Performances, Duty Cycle, Final Target Price) and allocate necessary task to the team Need to perform as a communication facilitator and managing the progress steps of the NPD project, between the Global and India team Collaborate with global senior Leaders and adhere to project guidelines to meet objectives. Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Collaborate with Mechanical, Pneumatic, Software, Electrical/Electronics and Documentation Engineer to provide necessary directions and address concerns in a timely and effective manner Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications, progress reports, and change orders. Prepare and present regular reports on project status, milestones achieved, and challenges faced. Support Procurement, Production, Testing and Approval team whenever necessary Thorough Knowledge & Experience in NPD process is must Experience in overall Product design at system and sub-system level in railway. Experience in design calculations, DFMEA, DFM and DFA Exposure to manufacturing environment and supplier coordination as required Good understanding of manufacturing methods such as welding, Casting, Forging, and machining Assist Long-Term Product Support and Development team (Sales, After Sales services, Spare Parts, Accounting) as required Stay informed about industry advancements and best practices in the marketplace Must represent a professional, respectful, and courteous manner when interacting with all levels of managers, peers, and subordinates.

Nice to have Requirements : Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the rail industry Experience in working in PDM environment Knowledge on defining FEA inputs, evaluating FEA results and provide improvement suggestions
