Location:This role (Consultant, Governance) will be based out of India office—New Delhi.
Reporting toIndia lead—Governance practice.

Joining the organization's Governance team and based out of India, you will play a key role in developing our technical work in India and be a key part of the global team. You will also be expected to contribute to business development of the Practice. The postholder will build relationships with clients, identity opportunities and lead tenders to win quality, impactful work, and collaborate with colleagues across the Goverannce practice.
The role will require technical, teamwork and leadership experience.
Specific responsibilities include:
Be responsible for the design and delivery of technical projects i.e., ensuring that programme inputs and deliverables are defined and delivered on time and to quality standards, providing required support to the Governance Practice.
Lead on or contribute to the acquisition and bidding for medium / large Governance opportunities in India and with the wider global practice.
Manage small to medium scale projects delivered primarily by the Governance practice or in collaboration with other teams at the organization.
Supporting the business development initiatives, including fostering good relationships with potential clients including donor agencies and partner government ministries/ departments, take an active role in developing new areas of work and potential new relationships through existing or new networks and contacts.
Essential requirements
A post-graduate Master’s degree (PhD may be considered) or any other post-graduate university qualification from a leading university, and an excellent academic track record in a relevant discipline such as public policy, public administration, development studies or any other Social Sciences.
Substantial relevant work experience in some of the following areas (8-10 years): strong experience of policy consulting ideally within a consulting firm, think tanks, policy organisation, or non-profit organisation on sectors such as public administration, urban/rural governance, WASH, livelihoods, capacity development, organisational reform, climate governance etc.
Experience of working with governments at any level providing technical support or public policy advice is desirable.
Demonstrated leadership skills, working with diverse teams, and ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
