Know it matters. Financial Accounting & Reporting team provides accounting support to various AXA XL legal entities based out of Bermuda, UK and US. There are different sub-processes performed by Financial Accounting & Reporting team in India which includes but is not limited to: Quarter end Close Process, Reporting Process, Reconciliation Process, Planning Process, Business Analysis Process, etc.

What will your essential responsibilities include

. Responsible for leading the team including management of financial planning, accounting, and reporting activities the division.

. Responsible for driving and reviewing Quarterly Income Statement and Balance Sheet, monthly/quarterly reconciliations which include but is not limited to Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations.

. Responsible for providing support on IFRS 17 Financial Close & reporting and analysis activities for the Life Re segment.

. Analyzing trends and supporting management in quarterly close and reporting process.

. Manage the BAU deliverables related to accounting/reporting of group treaties (Gross, Net Property QS, Internal group treaties - IGR, others).

. Maintain effective communication with onshore (both written and verbal) and leadership expectations.

. Drive continuous/ process improvement and special projects.

. Identify process improvements and make recommendations to streamline the process.

. Support and lead projects as and when required to ensure true & fair presentation of financials as a result of changes in accounting treatment, ledger clean-up activities, restructuring, etc.

. Handling of adhoc queries related to the process on a regular basis.

. Review and update internal controls (FIC) documentation/SOX compliance for various processes.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

. CA with relevant years of post-qualification experience in accounting and financial reporting with an experience of team handling.

. Effective communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal/external teams across the globe.

. Relevant work experience preferable in the Insurance industry, financial services, or consultancy.

. Effective computer application skills (MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, Power BI, Qlikview).

Desired Skills and Abilities:

. Experience with Oracle EBS, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Magnitude would be advantageous.

. Effective analytical, research and problem solving skills.

. Organized, methodical, able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and do multitasking.
