Job description

The Principal UX Designer, is a key member of the technology team that helps create super intuitive, easy-to-use products to be used by Consilio’s customers. To achieve this outcome, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, and Customers throughout the design process from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and screens. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them, and ensure that the final product surpasses their expectations. This role requires a keen understanding of our external clients’ and internal stakeholders’ needs combined with a deep technical understanding of our products and how they are used, to be a keystone between the business needs and product capability.

This India-based position is hybrid (2-3 days in the office) and will report to the UX Designer, Senior Manager. All work days must be in the US Central Time hours 8:00 AM US Central Time to 5:00 PM US Central Time core hours.

Responsibilities:

Create and enhance UI/UX for several new and existing Consilio web-based products for litigations, AI/analytics, investigations, legal hold, and cyber incident review. Meet directly with stakeholders and external clients to capture insights and get feedback to inform and optimize UX designs Be able to articulate why a UX design is the best experience for the user Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineering architects to create high-level platform designs Create and manage component library structure with Engineering Lead relevant UX activities including persona development, user flow creation and documentation, wireframes, interaction design, visual design, and interaction testing Help establish best practices and develop a process and standard around UX; building upon our existing UI/UX guidelines, document and define expanded scope and improvements to the UI/UX standards and guidelines Design screen layouts, interaction flows, mockups/prototypes – be able to communicate the end to end user experience verbally and visually Create HTML pages for UI designs and deliver them to Engineering Identify and solve usability and UI design problems Work and collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering Handle multiple projects and priorities without compromising quality Stay on top of user/customer experience trends and best practices across interaction type

Experience and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual), HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent experience 10+ years of professional UI/UX Designer experience Deep knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodology Experience designing web-based solutions for enterprise products Experience in user/customer experience prototyping and usability analysis Advanced knowledge of wireframing and/or prototyping tools and methodologies Experience in JS, HTML, CSS and Ajax, and experience in design and wireframing tools such as Figma, Adobe InDesign, Axure, Balsamiq, Invision, etc. Must provide outstanding references

Highly creative and inquisitive; able to multitask effectively High energy level, enthusiastic, and eager to do what is necessary to be successful Must show agility; as business needs change, so too must priorities and direction – to this role will require a general comfort with ambiguity and vagaries that are natural within our business Must be accountable to the business for delivering excellent work product to the business, winning advocacy both internally and externally for the growth initiatives this role will champion Must show high level of professionalism. Must be able to assemble disparate data points into a unified, cogent vision of how the business ought to proceed
