Position Objectives:
Primary role and responsibility of a Civil Surveyor will be to utilize both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience to conduct surveys on existing and new GSM sites, and subsequently transmit the collected data to the home office for Engineers to carry out the necessary engineering and design tasks. Additionally, explore the implementation of drones for conducting surveys, particularly in challenging terrains.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Engineers and project Managers to complete the required surveys ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Should be able to perform and complete the following tasks:
- Take dimensions of existing site layout including tower + equipment room.
- Take photos of the complete site including tower & available equipment.
- Take existing antennas, MWs & RRUs elevations from ground + Azimuth.
- Take panoramic photos from tower top + backside photos of every antenna/ MW.
- Take inside equipment room dimensions.
- Take galvanization + paint thickness of tower.
- Perform visualization inspection of tower to verify if there is corrosion, missing members, etc..
- Check tower foundation pedestals dimension & inspection.
- Draw existing Roxtec modules, existing feeders, table tray & tower ladder.
- Take dimensions and torque measurements of existing anchor bolts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in surveying, geomatics, geospatial sciences, geophysics, or similar field.
- Minimum 5+ years Previous experience as a Civil-Telecom surveyor or in a similar role.
- Tech savvy, including familiarity with CAD software & using professional cameras.
- Experience using hand surveying tools (distance measuring wheels, plumb bobs, levels) and electronic surveying tools (transit levels, GPS equipment, Total Stations). Knowledge of trigonometry, mapmaking, and the methods, principles, and practice of surveying.
- Analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
- Strong attention to details.
- Ability to climb towers and work at heights.
- Ability to drive and travel all around the kingdom.
- Should be familiar with drones and their use in the field of survey.
