Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customs Declaration Staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of customs documentation, possessing comprehensive knowledge of HS codes, and demonstrating flexibility in multitasking and working hours.
Responsibilities: - Prepare and complete customs documentation for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and accuracy in documentation.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of HS codes and tariff schedules to correctly classify goods for customs clearance.
- Communicate and coordinate with customs authorities and relevant agencies to resolve any documentation or clearance issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations, providing necessary documentation and information.
- Handle inquiries and provide guidance to clients or internal stakeholders regarding customs documentation requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and policies to ensure compliance in all activities.
Requirements: - Previous experience in customs declaration, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in customs procedures and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of HS codes and tariff schedules.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate business needs and time-sensitive shipments.
- Familiarity with customs software and relevant computer applications is a plus.
Education and Certifications: - A degree in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification or training in customs procedures and documentation may be advantageous.
